Please welcome my new friend CAMILLE MACRES.

“Last December Foodie TV found my Youtube channel and I thought it was a massive scam.”

“Foodie TV has a vision to bring education back into cooking TV.”

“I started cooking watching Julia Child and Emeril.”

Listen to hear Camile’s answer to this question:

“So you’re so much more than just a chef you’re a foodiprenuer. A real entrepreneur who has branched out in multiple avenues related to food and what happens when you eat it. Or don’t eat the right things. And why you don’t eat the right things. Tell us about Your transformation approach?”

“I was a private chef for the elite in Santa Barbara, but I felt there was more to my life than this. I wanted to empower people to cook.”

“It’s scary to make yourself your brand but I ran with it. We built this awesome little company in just 3 months!”

“Having a business that failed and having learned Internet marketing, I have a pseudo MBA over the last few years.”

“There are a lot of Paleo blogs and articles but no real video so this created opportunity.”

“Coconut is a superfood FOOL!”

OMG! Listen to hear Camille’s answer to this question:

“So Camille, describe Paleogasm to all of our ESPN Radio listeners?”

“I’ve been Paleo for about 3-4 years but about 10 years ago was told can’t eat dairy or gluten. I had a mid-life crisis about what am I going to eat.”

“I make crapes with plantains, coconut flower, coconut cream…” Listen to hear the recipe!

“People have this really flawed idea that you have to eat crappy if look good and feel good. We are talking about a bacon full and fat full diet. Everything I make is delicious!”

“Around 3pm I hit a wall. A Doctor told me I had adrenal fatigue and a slow thyroid.

Kyle’s points:

“Never get between a pregnant woman and her food

Never get between a woman and her chocolate

Never think you will hear a word better than Paleogasm.”

Thank you so much CAMILLE for keeping it tasty. Where can we continue to follow your journey?

Best-selling author

Exponential growth expert

Exponential growth expert AJ ROBERTS “Top 5 tips for achieving your wildest dreams”

Kyle’s point:

It’s amazing to me that someone who is so powerful and so strong in the forefront is a stealth ninja behind the scenes

“I was a former basketball player which lead me to weight lifting and powerlifting.”

“I set audacious goals and achieved them in record time.”

“I helped launch and build multi-million dollar companies.”

“When I was growing up I always watched strongman on TV. In England, weight lifting is not done in schools. Growing up, the goal was to come to America and play. I played basketball with the England squad but was told I can’t grow.”

“I went from 170 pounds to 320 pounds and competed in 308 pounds. Lost 100 pounds to save my life basically.”

Listen to hear AJ’s answer to what an Exponential Growth Export is:

“Company is at a flat line and then hits tipping point to double in growth year after year after year. Push life to the extremes. Being disruptive.”

“A lot of people set their goals too short and are happy with mediocrity. Not to live big is not to live fulfilled.”

TOP 5:

  1. Know you dreams and desires (Your core identity)
  2. Unbreakable self-belief
  3. Play all out with a willingness to do whatever it takes
  4. Surround yourself with success
  5. Get the best mentors

“A lot of people are unhappy because they have a shell identity. Not who people want to be but who people perceive them as.”

“I had some friends who had heart attacks and I knew I was walking that tight rope of death. To carry that weight required enormous amounts of food. 10,000 calories-a-day diet!”

“I had people in college work with me on mental skills. Unbreakable self belief there wasn’t a Plan B.”

“A lot of people don’t buy into themselves. That’s the biggest problem that they have. Everyone I have talked to that I successful that one of the most common things is no doubt. They have fear but no doubt they will figure it out.”

“Our limitations are our own set point.”

“The 10,000 hours rule is complete BS. Leverage somebody else’s 10,000 hours.”

Thank you so much for your empowering insight. Where can our listeners continue to follow your journey?

THIS WEEK’S CHALLENGE IS A REPEAT FROM A WHILE BACK BECAUSE TOO MANY OF YOU HAVE BEEN SECOND GUESSING YOUR AWESOMENESS LATELY AND REPETITION IS THE MOTHER OF ALL SKILL.

I GUESS THAT MEANS THE FATHER OF ALL SKILL IS ME?

IT’S TO BE THE EXCEPTION NOT THE RULE

I’ve walked in your shoes. I entered corporate America with wide eyes and endless possibilities. A confident yet naïve college graduate, I was there for 2 reasons: to discover my talents and to become America’s next millionaire. As a corporate technology salesman, I was promised the world yet delivered a jelly donut. That’s right—a jelly donut! Our “employee benefits package” included free ice cream the first Tuesday of the month and free bagels and donuts every Tuesday and Thursday. They were “perks” that stayed with you long after you indulged!

Yet I had a dark secret, my own secret weapon. While my counterparts were devouring their complimentary bagels and donuts and drowning in their giant coffee mugs, I was sneaking off to the bathroom to practice my poses for the Mr. Natural Midwest Bodybuilding Championships. I had been an athlete all my life, and competing in a drug-free Bodybuilding contest was my next conquest. Posing three times a day was part of my protocol, so I was not going to let my environment be a roadblock to success. Everyday, I walked through those glass doors knowing that I was going to be the exception not the rule. While my coworkers were drifting off from poor nutrition and too much caffeine, I was clear-headed and ready to go.

And the proof is in the pudding– or the protein shake for me. I led my class of roughly 150 people by double in every measurable category– from call time to sales to account acquisition and development. Why? Because I was clear in my thoughts, had limitless energy and a positive mental attitude, and never needed a sick day.

Now your level of discipline will never need to be this strict. That is not living a healthy and balanced lifestyle nor is it realistic for those who have marriage and family responsibilities. Yet with a few lifestyle modifications, you too can master your own health and fitness and achieve the healthy body you’ve always wanted, all while coping with the chaos of corporate America.

So what’s the first step in being the exception and NOT the rule? Realizing that if you follow the rule, failure is your most likely outcome. Yes, failure is your most likely outcome. Now if that’s not the perfect start to a motivational pitch, then I don’t know what is! Here are the facts:

  • 98% of all dieters who lose weight will regain their lost weight within 1 year.
  • 35% of “normal dieters” progress to pathological dieting. Of those, 20-25% progress to partial or full-syndrome eating disorders.
  • A middle-aged exerciser can expect 2.4 exercise-related injuries per year with a total of 25.8 days of recuperation.
  • Americans spend over $40 billion on dieting and diet-related products each year.

Are you familiar with this scenario?

Monday: “I’m going to be perfect with my nutrition and exercise.” And you are—all day!

Tuesday: “I’m not sure what to eat, how much, or what type of exercise to do.”

Wednesday: “I’m just too busy.” Your enthusiasm wanes but you justify it with the idea that you will be perfect all weeken.

Weekend: “I have too many family and social responsibilities and hey, I had a hard week. The diet starts on Monday.”

I think most of you know what I’m talking about. So what’s the real problem and what’s the solution? Well, from a business perspective, its strategy, benchmarking, and execution.

Strategy – gathering proper facts and preparing a plan of action. This includes analyzing your current status including your body composition, scale weight, physical capabilities and limitations.

Benchmarking – measuring your performance against your past condition to measure success, not against others.

Execution – making the conditions work for you. This involves scheduling, preparation, and follow through.

Let’s compare these principles to your present workplace. Would your company be successful if it based its business strategy on what it saw on TV or read in a magazine? Would your company be successful without a concrete business plan? I doubt it. Yet most of us succumb to quick fix claims such as “melt away the fat in your sleep.” Or “Workout only 3 minutes a day.” People find it hard to believe in this age of scientific breakthroughs and medical miracles that an effortless weight-loss method doesn’t exist. But it doesn’t. These are all advertising gimmicks that play on our emotions. It takes unleashing your own I.F. Factor—your internal fortitude—to achieve the healthy body and powerful mind you deserve.

So I will leave you with my new 11 second workout. Here’s how it goes:

Walk over to your mirror and say the following out loud:

“My body is my vehicle for success and my mind is the driver.”

“It’s my choice if I want to treat my body like a Bugatti or a used Chevy.”

“The more systematized, focused effort I put in, the better the results.”

Now Everything you do after this 11 second workout is up to you. Choose wisely.

Thank you for listening to the Empower Hour. Remember that we’re live every Saturday from 9-10 on ESPN Radio 1700AM. You can listen live on your radio or from our ESPN livestream, or download our podcast on itunes and connect with us on facebook.
